An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
